
ArmInfo. Minister of Economy of Armenia Vahan Kerobyan received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia, Ms. Anne Louyot.
As the press service of the Ministry of Economy the interlocutors discussed issues related to the holding of the Armenia-France Economic Summit on February 24 in Paris.
According to the source, the goal of the summit is to present the economic opportunities of Armenia to French entrepreneurs, to better use the potential of economic cooperation between Armenia and France in the fields of green and sustainable economy, agriculture and high-tech industry.
During the meeting, the parties touched upon the program of economic modernization, attached importance to attracting investments, implementing bilateral programs, further developing the Armenian-French cooperation and expanding economic ties between the countries.
It should be noted that according to the RA Statistical Committee, in 2022, the foreign trade turnover between Armenia and France amounted to $122.4 million, which is 29.6% higher than a year ago. At the same time, exports decreased by 7.8% to $9.8 million, imports showed an increase of 34.4% to $112.6 million.
