
ArmInfo. Only the Artashat-Yerevan-Ashtarak section of the North-South transport corridor is now ready for operation, Armenia's Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan stated in Parliament.
The minister reported the continuation of the Talin-Lanjik and Lanjik-Gyumri construction projects, the total length of the roads being 42km. The Lanjik-Gyumri project is nearing competition. Minister Sanosyan highlighted the importance of a bypass highway near Gyumri toward Bavra.
In the southern direction, a 160-km-long Artashat-Sisian road construction project is planned. Among the prepared projects are a 60-km-long Sisian-Kajaran road and access roads to the Kajaran tunnel and a 32- km-long Kajaran-Agarak road. The projects have been put out to tenders.
