ArmInfo.Governorof the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia Martin Galstyan left the board of the Board of the AMX|Armenia Securities Exchange. He announced this on March 14 during a press conference.
At the same time, the head of the Central Bank noted that the processes are going on as usual. At this stage, as Galstyan further stressed, one should not expect major changes in the capital market of Armenia. He explained that the process of forming a new Board of the AMX is currently underway, after which a development strategy will be developed and adopted.
"We are creating opportunities in the form of financial infrastructure. And companies, for their part, should initiate IPO implementation tools for selling bonds. In particular, the Central Bank, together with the Warsaw Stock Exchange, will create infrastructures that will allow companies to enter IPO," Martin Galstyan said.
In the summer of 2022, Governor of the Central Bank of Armenia Martin Galstyan and President of the Management Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WFA) Marek Dietl signed the main agreement, whereby WFA acquired 65.03% (967 shares) of the Armenia Securities Exchange.
