In 2022 vs. 2021, number of RA citizens on migration registration in  RF decreased by 15% - ACSES

ArmInfo.In 2022, the number of RA citizens on migration registration in Russia has decreased. This year the trend will be more pronounced. This was reported by the Armenian Center for Socio- Economic Studies-ACSES.

Thus, referring to the data of the Main Directorate of Migration of  the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, ACSES  reports that in 2016-2022, an average of 264.000 RA citizens leave  for Russia (received a work permit) in order to work. In particular,  in 2016, 210,000 labor migrants from the RA were registered the  migration register, -232.000 people in 2017, 208.000 - in 2018 and  210.000 - in 2019.

During the reported period, the smallest number of labor migrants was  recorded in 2020 - 69 thousand people, which is probably due to  COVID-19.

In 2022, compared to 2021, the number of Armenian citizens registered  in Russia with migration decreased by 15%, amounting to 332.000  people compared to 390.000 in 2021.
