Enterprise Armenia supporting 40 projects worth $2.4-3.2bln - premier 

ArmInfo. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the "Enterprise Armenia" investment support center to get acquainted with the performance report 2022.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Ministers Mher Grigoryan and  Tigran Khachatryan, Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan, Deputy Chief  of the Prime Minister's Staff Bagrat Badalyan, Deputy Head of the  State Supervision Service Robert Bazikyan, Director General of  "Enterprise Armenia" Levon Ohanesyan, the leadership of the  structure, and other officials.

The works carried out by "Enterprise Armenia" in 3 main directions in  2022 were presented to the Prime Minister. These directions are  accompanying foreign and local investors in the process of making  investments on the "single window" system, post-investment service of  foreign investors operating in Armenia and promotion of Armenia's  investment environment, attraction of new investments.

It was reported that more than 610 businessmen and investors applied  to "Enterprise Armenia" in the reporting year, and since its  creation, the structure has provided support to more than 1,600  businessmen at various stages. More than 280 investment initiatives  have been worked on. The number of current investment projects  supported by "Enterprise Armenia" is 40 with an expected volume of  2.4-3.2 billion USD, 26 projects have already been launched with an  expected volume of around 350 million USD.

Works planned for 2023 aimed at attracting investments were also  presented to the Prime Minister. It was noted that in the current  year it is planned to activate the targeted work through direct  contacts with foreign investors, participation in reputable  international events, promotion of Armenia on digital and other  platforms, network of representatives formed abroad and institutional  cooperation.

The presentation of the report was followed by an exchange of ideas,  in the framework of which issues related to actions and measures to  be taken in the direction of continuous improvement of the investment  environment were discussed. In response to the Prime Minister's  questions, the officials in charge presented details on the  investment process support models, current and planned programs, and  the development vision of "Enterprise Armenia".

Prime Minister Pashinyan attached importance to the continuous  improvement of investment attraction, investor support mechanisms and  tools, in accordance with the strategic approaches approved by the  Government. Based on the results of the consultation, the Head of the  Government gave a number of instructions.
