ArmInfo.Armenia's Premier Nikol Pashinyan hosted a delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) headed by Iva Petrova.
Armenia's premier appreciated Armenia's partnership with Armenia and highlighted the IMF support for the Armenian government's reform programmes. Armenia recorded high economic growth and essentially increased budget revenues last year. Armenia's government intends to continue reforms in various fields, with a focus on consistent work with international partners.
In her turn, Ms Petrova thanked Armenia's premier and stressed that the IMF will support Armenia's economic progress and the reforms launched by Armenia's government. She pointed out Armenia's high economic indicators and the IMF's interest in economic cooperation.
The sides discussed the partnership agenda and a joint plan of action.
Mr Pashinyan briefed the IMF delegation on the results of the reforms involving economic diversification, financial and economic stability, improvement of investment environment, infrastructural development, corruption control and tax management. The sides exchanged views on this year's economic trends.
The IMF forecasts 4.5% economic growth this year.
