As part of his speech, Tigran Sargsyan touched upon a wide range of issues regarding the prospects for India's cooperation not only with Russia but also with other member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The Deputy Chairman of the EDB Board also noted that the building of new supply chains in the region and the growth of trade between India and the EAEU member states create quite serious prospects not only to bring the trade relations of the parties to a new level, but also to actively introduce the technological and digital segment into the structure of economic cooperation.
In his speech, the Deputy Chairman of the EDB Board emphasized the Bank's interest in developing both digital services for transport corridors and the transport infrastructure itself, noting the important role of the EDB in creating the Eurasian transport framework.
It should be noted that as part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum's foreign events programme, the Russia-India Business Forum: Strategic Partnership for Development and Growth will be held in the Indian capital, New Delhi, on 29-30 March. The purpose of the Forum is to discuss opportunities for creating high-tech alliances in different areas: IT, cybersecurity, industry and manufacturing, smart cities, transport, logistics and healthcare, and to support Russian companies as they refocus on new markets.
