ArmInfo. From April 1, new subscribers of "Electric Networks of Armenia" CJSC will have to pay a higher connection pricing. Garegin Baghramyan, chairman of the Public Services Regulatory Commission of the Republic of Armenia, stated this on March 30 in an interview with journalists.
According to him, the payout rate has not been reviewed since 2008, which forced the PSRC to reconsider the previous decision. The principle is that all new customers should not create problems for existing subscribers. investments. The owners of this mansion may visit it a couple of times a year, and subscribers of the nearest settlements have to pay for these investments>, the PSRC head noted.
Baghramyan noted that the average amount of connections will increase by 2-3 times. He added that an appropriate scale of payments will be used for each individual case, for example for detached houses, conventional connections, etc. The head of the PSRC noted that in 2008 the connections were made on the principle of 50% to 50%, in which half of the costs were borne by the subscriber, and the other half by the "ENA" as part of its investment program. As a result, other subscribers have to compensate these investments from their own pockets. " Now we're just rebalancing so that new subscribers don't create rate problems for existing customers," Baghramyan said.
He added that, unlike the electricity networks, Gazprom Armenia does not bear any costs for connecting to the gas system, and for this reason, these costs are compensated. The consumer will pay only 40-50% of the costs of connecting to the gas pipe.
Earlier it was reported that in order to connect to the "ENA" network, applicants will have to pay up to 700 thousand drams.
