ArmInfo. The key to society's progress in the digital age is the digital environment of trust, ideas and innovations, for which Armenia has the potential. This was stated during the opening ceremony of the Doing Digital forum by Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan.
"I hope that the reasonable contribution of the state to the development of the digital economy and society will maximize this potential," he said. The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that the digital future in Armenia should become a reality thanks to the private sector and citizens, and the state in in turn, he said, will make every possible effort to implement an open and accessible data policy, the formation of critical infrastructure, the rules of the game and a safe and facilitating environment. "This is the main approach of the government in the policy of digital transformation," said Mher Grigoryan. Recalling that he is the chairman of the Information Systems Management Board, the Deputy Prime Minister presented the main goals for the digitalization of society and the economy. In particular, the Board's vision on this issue provides for free access of citizens to digital identification solutions, for which the latter will not pay, citizens and business entities will provide their data to the state system one-time, public services will be developed based on life circumstances, etc.
"In our opinion, investments in the field of digitalization will lead to the transformation of society, the state, the economy, including the transformation, and, if necessary, the elimination of certain processes carried out by institutions that impede convenience and increase productivity," he concluded.
