ArmInfo. The Armenian government has approved a development strategy for five sectors of the country's economy. On April 18, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated from the rostrum of the RA National Assembly.
He noted that one of these areas is the mining industry, the development of which would boost the state's economy. At the same time, as the prime minister continued, one of the primary tasks is to establish facilities for processing metallurgical raw materials and obtaining final products so that instead of ore, finished products are exported: solar panels, cables, chips, components for electric vehicles, etc. But as the head of the government emphasized, it is very difficult to do it in conditions of closed roads.
"We often say to our unfriendly neighbors, open the roads, so that we can raise the level of our economy, start actively developing, and improve the quality of life. Of course, we are smart, but not the smartest>, Nikol Pashinyan emphasized, turning again to the topic of a peace treaty with Azerbaijan and the problem of unblocking all transport communications in the region.
There are investment plans In Armenia for the construction of a refinery, as well as a smelter for the processing of copper-molybdenum raw materials.
