Gazprom Armenia regains its leadership in Armenia`s large taxpayers  list 

ArmInfo.According to the results of Q1 2023, the list of 1000 large taxpayers of Armenia was  headed by Gazprom Armenia, which paid 20.9 billion drams to the state  budget (with a y-o-y growth of 4%), of which 23.6 million drams are  customs duties, 1. 6 billion drams - direct taxes (incl. profit tax,  income tax), 18.9 billion drams - indirect taxes (incl. VAT, excise  tax).  A year earlier, for the same period, Gazprom Armenia CJSC  occupied the 2nd place. This is evidenced by the published data of  the RA State Revenue Committee.

Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine (ZCMC) from 1st place in Q1 2022  dropped to 2nd place for the same period of the current year, having  paid 15.5 billion drams to the state treasury (with a y-o-y decline  of 56%), of which 845.7 million drams- customs duties, 3.8 billion  drams - direct taxes (incl. profit tax, income tax), 724.6 million  drams - indirect taxes.

The third place, as in the previous year, was taken by the Grand  Tobaco company, having allocated 11.7 billion drams to the state  budget (with a y-o-y growth of 48%), of which over 1 billion drams -  for customs duties, 987.6 million drams- direct taxes (incl. profit  tax, income tax), 7.6 billion drams- VAT.

PRETTY WAY LLC (Vesta electrical and household appliances store) as  risen from last year's 109th place to 4th place, having allocated 8.7  billion drams to the state budget (with a 17-fold annual growth, from  501.7 million drams in Q1 2022), of which AMD 6.4 billion is for  customs duties. Moreover, the company paid more than 1.1 billion  drams to the state budget on income tax, and 5.4 billion drams on  VAT.

International Masis Tobacco closes the TOP-5 (which occupied the 4th  place a year earlier), having paid 7.3 billion drams to the state  budget (with a y-o-y growth of 24%), of which 740.6 million drams  were for customs duties. Moreover, the company paid 1 billion drams  to the state budget on direct taxes (incl. profit tax, income tax),  1.2 billion drams- on  VAT, and 4.7 billion drams- on excise tax.

The five leaders paid a total of 64.1 billion drams to the budget  through taxes, which is 12% lower than the indicator of a year ago.  In particular, the TOP-5 paid more than 9 billion drams on customs  duties (y-o-y multiply increase), 8.6 billion on direct taxes (incl.  profit tax, income tax) with a y-o-y decline of 50%, and 41.3 billion  drams - for indirect taxes (incl. VAT, excise tax) with a y-o-y  growth of 23%.

After the TOP-5, the list of large taxpayers is arranged as follows:  ACBA Bank (6th place, from 23rd place a year earlier), Mobile Center  Art (7th place, from 36th place a year earlier), CPS Energy Group  (8th place, from 20th place a year earlier), Philip Morris (9th  place, from 12th place a year earlier), and Flash oil trader closes  the TOP-10 (vs. 5th place a year earlier).

In general, 1000 large taxpayers of Armenia increased their payments  to the state treasury by 23% y-o-y in the Q1 2023, providing 381.1  billion drams.

It should be noted that according to the results of Q1 2022, the  TOP-5 included the Zangezur Copper- Molybdenum Combine, Gazprom  Armenia CJSC, Grand Tobacco, International Masis Tobacco and Flash.   In total, they transferred 73.1 billion drams to the state budget  through taxes, of which 1.8 billion drams - for customs duties, 17.1  billion - for direct taxes (incl. profit tax, income tax), and 33.5  billion drams - on indirect taxes (incl.VAT, excise tax).
