According to the press service of the Prime Minister, Pashinyan noted the importance of cooperation between the RA government and the Rosatom corporation, within the framework of which a number of joint projects are being successfully implemented. Referring to the partnership in the field of nuclear energy, Nikol Pashinyan noted the role of Rosatom in extending the life of the second power unit of the Armenian NPP.
Aleksey Likhachev, in turn, described working with Armenian partners as "productive" and said that Rosatom is interested to continue the mutually beneficial partnership. The interlocutors, in the context of bilateral cooperation, discussed current programs and prospects for new initiatives. The work on extending the life of the second power unit of the Armenian NPP was touched upon.
An exchange of views took place on the construction of a new nuclear power unit in Armenia, possible cooperation in the field of nuclear medicine, as well as partnership on the issue of hazardous waste neutralization of NairitFactory.
