ArmInfo. Passenger traffic on the section of the railway damaged due to a landslide in central Georgia has been resumed: the movement of a passenger train on the Yerevan- Batumi-Yerevan route has been restored. This was reported by the press service of the "South Caucasus Railway".
Despite the fact that traffic is limited on the damaged section of the Georgian railway, Georgian railway workers agreed to restore traffic from Yerevan to Batumi. In the coming days, the Yerevan-Batumi- Yerevan train schedule will remain unchanged, but the issue of changing it is being worked out for the future. SCR once again apologizes to passengers for the inconvenience and hopes for understanding that the current situation is due to difficult meteorological conditions in Armenia and Georgia over the past two months. It should be reminded that in early summer, landslide processes disrupted the operation of SCR trains in the north of Armenia, in the Lori region, when international railway routs for June 6 and June 7 were canceled.
