Armenia`s Tourism Committee Head does not exclude that in 2023 it will be possible to cross the mark of 2 million tourists

In this regard, she recalled that following the results of 6 months of this year, 1 million tourists visited Armenia, which exceeds the figure of a year ago by almost 70%.

According to Boghossian , such growth and registered indicators are related to the intensive work that the department is doing in the context of increasing the recognition of the Armenian brand in the international market. In this context, the head of the Committee pointed to the work with airlines, including Fly Arna, Air France, Air Baltic, etc., publications about Armenia in a number of international publications, participation in international exhibitions in target markets, etc.

In addition, she said that work is also underway with embassies in the context of resolving the issue of representing Armenia in a number of European countries as an unsafe country.

When asked how ready the infrastructure and hotel industry are to accept the expected flow of tourists, the head of the Committee noted that this is a constant problem for Yerevan, especially in the summer season. , Boghossian  said.
