Major construction in Armenia grew by 17% - Pashinyan

ArmInfo. Today, major construction is the most visible and driving force of our economy. Compared to  last year, we have a 17% growth. But the problem is that the demand for it, as well as the potential, is much higher, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on August 11, speaking at an event dedicated to  the Builder's Day.

Prime Minister to thank the construction companies that implement  government programs. According to him, there was a time when it was  problematic to get funds for the planned construction. Today, when  there is money, the task is to spend it efficiently and get a quality  product in return.

"For example, it takes years to dismantle a building in our country.  Now we are implementing a project related to the more famous former  building of the Ministry of Defense, which must be dismantled in  order to implement a large state project, but we have been  demolishing this building for four years.

This applies to both the private sector and the public sector. Not to  mention how long it would take to build this building. And in the  modern world, we need to set other quality standards>, he pointed  out.  As Pashinyan noted, it would be nice if construction companies  from other countries work in Armenia, but the RA should set a goal -  to form a construction industry.
