6.1% increase in Armenia`s gas imports from Russia last year 

ArmInfo.In 2022, Armenia increased natural gas imports by 6.4% - up to 2,965,818.1 cubic meters, while the customs value of imported natural gas increased by 9.6%, amounting to $504.8 million. This is evidenced by the data of the RA Customs Service, according to which Armenia traditionally imports natural gas from Russia (87.7%) and Iran (12.1%).

In particular, 2,599,599.8 cubic meters were received from Russia.  natural gas (an annual growth of 6.1%), and the customs value of this  volume amounted to $443.2 million (annual growth of 9.7%). From Iran,  natural gas imports increased by 7.9% - up to 366,218.4 cubic meters,  with an increase in customs value by 8.8% - up to $60.9 million.

According to the source, the supply of liquefied gas in annual terms  increased by 22.7% - up to 90,257.6 tons, with an increase in customs  value by 28.2% - up to $37.6 million. Liquefied gas is supplied to  Armenia from Russia (90.3%) , Iran (9.2%) Iraq (0.5%), very small  volumes were supplied from the UAE, Greece, China, Turkey, the  Republic of Korea, Italy and Germany.

In particular, imports of liquefied gas from Russia increased 4.1  times - up to 81,503 tons, with an increase in customs value by 3.3  times - up to $ 34.3 million. Imports of liquefied gas from Iran  decreased significantly - by 80.7% to 8,259 .4 tons, with a decline  in customs value by 79.2% - to $3.1 million.  Imports of liquefied  gas from Iraq decreased by 95.5% to 483.2 tons, with a similar  decline in customs value - to $178.6 thousand.

It should be noted that according to the data of the Ministry of  Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of the Republic of  Armenia, following the results of 2022, within the framework of the  indicative balance, Armenia received 155 thousand tons of motor  gasoline and the same amount of diesel fuel from the Russian  Federation
