ArmInfo.Despite all the challenges, the difficult international situation, the EAEU is  developing well, the trade turnover between the EAEU countries is growing at a steady pace.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during a meeting  of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, which is taking place on  August 24 in Tsakhkadzor.

He noted that as of today the member countries of the Union are  focused on the implementation of the EAEU development strategy -  2025. "And we are now working on a project submitted by the Russian  Federation - the St. Petersburg Declaration. Of course, this is a  very interesting project and many  provisions are acceptable.

I think, in general, there is a positive  approach regarding the  project but there are nuances that need to be discussed. But at the  same time, there are nuances that need to be discussed," he noted.  According to the head of the Armenian government, the main nuance  lies in the divergence of positions of the member countries regarding  further economic integration. At the same time, he noted that he sees  opportunities to find specific solutions.

"Of course, there are many nuances regarding the development of the  EAEU. The formation of a common gas and energy markets, as well as  the coordination of the credit and financial policies of our   governments are of highly principled significance. We are working   very closely in this direction, too," Pashinyan said.  Summing up,  he stressed that the main goal of the EAEU is to develop the  economies of the member countries, to raise the level of well-being  of citizens. At the same time, the prime minister drew attention to  the fact that other countries are also interested in further  developing relations with the EAEU.

The foreign trade turnover of Armenia with the EAEU countries in H1  2023 increased by 86.1%, totaling $3.2 billion. At the same time,  exports increased 3-fold to $1.7 billion, imports - by 27.2% to $1.5  billion
