ArmInfo. Armenia and Iraq discussed the possibilities of expanding bilateral economic  cooperation. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry  of Economy, referring to the results of the meeting of President of  the Republic of Iraq, Abdul Latif Rashid , with the delegation of the  Economic Department of Armenia, led by Minister Vahan Kerobyan in  Iraq.

According to the source, the parties considered the prospects for  cooperation in a number of areas, including agriculture, light  industry, food industry and infrastructure development.

According to the RA Statistics Committee data, in January-July 2023,  foreign trade turnover between Armenia and Iraq decreased by 15.9%,  amounting to $108.7 million. At the same time, a decline was recorded  in exports - by 16.2% to $108 million, with 2.2-fol import growth,  amounting to $737.6 thousand.
