ArmInfo. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan believes that failures and problems in the field of justice and security are also a consequence of the inconsistency of the justice system, criminal cases that were not previously opened or were mistakenly closed. <We are moving towards eliminating all these challenges >, he said on October 9, at an event dedicated to the Day of the Investigative Committee Employee.
Nikol Pashinyan recalled that the salaries of the employees of the Investigative Committee were doubled. "During this period, we also raised the salaries of the judiciary and the prosecutor's office. The Anti- Corruption Committee was initially established with high salaries. I want to emphasize that, of course, this is how we express our confidence in the investigative authorities and the justice system," he noted. The Prime Minister emphasized that the Investigative Committee performs a very important function within the logic of ensuring revenues to the RA state budget or applying coercive measures against those who evade paying taxes.
According to the head of government, reforms in the justice sector are also aimed at promoting economic development. "Everyone should be able to freely engage in proper and lawful economic activity. Despite all our security challenges, we have no problems with economic and macroeconomic stability. There is only one reason for this, because there really is the possibility of free management of the economy in the Republic of Armenia, and this gave us the opportunity, allowed us to ensure macroeconomic stability so that we would not have the negative chain effects arising from this, " Nikol Pashinyan said.
