As he said, within the framework of the Committee, the parties will discuss various issues related to the implementation of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement between Armenia and the EU (CEPA), and the opportunities for the private sector that open up within the framework of CEPA.
Gevorgyan noted that a number of provisions of the CEPA action map relate specifically to the elimination of technical barriers to trade. According to him this will lead to mutual recognition of quality certificates. "Thanks to these steps, we will be able to remove a number of technical barriers to trade," he said.
According to the RA Statistics Committee, Armenia's foreign trade turnover with EU countries in January-August 2023 amounted to $1.8 billion, with an increase of 36.7% over the year. In particular, imports increased by 64.3% to $1.3 billion, with exports declining by 5.3% to $516 million.
