ArmInfo. The large Russian metallurgical holding Novostal-M intends to open its representative office in Armenia. On October 26, a seminar was held for the professional community on the technical features of new types of reinforcement and the possibilities of their use in construction projects in Armenia, during which specialists from the Russian company presented innovative products - high-strength reinforcement of type A550SK, as well as the advantages of its use in terms of seismic resistance.
Advisor to the Chairman of the Urban Planning Committee Artavazd Tarkhanyan welcomed the company's intention to open a representative office in Armenia and identify ways of cooperation with representatives of the sphere. "The Committee highly appreciates the holding of such events, which are aimed at presenting new technologies, innovative ideas and developing the field of urban planning. We emphasize the importance of large metalworking companies entering the Armenian market and, as an authorized state body in the field of urban planning, we are ready to consider the possibility of ensuring the use of a new type of product within the framework of urban planning norms and standards in Armenia, providing the necessary support," Tarkhanyan said.
General Director of the Novostal-M holding Andrey Kruglov told the seminar participants that the company's products are represented in more than 70 countries around the world. He spoke in detail about testing the quality of fittings, main areas of application and efficiency.
A few months ago, representatives of the holding met with the chairman of the RA Urban Planning Committee, discussing a wide range of issues related to the company's participation in the construction sector of Armenia.
Novostal-M is a metallurgical holding whose main assets are the Abinsk Electrometallurgical Plant and the Balakovo Metallurgical Plant. The Binsk Electrometallurgical Plant was launched in 2010. Today it is one of the most modern and developing factories in Russia, whose products are in demand all over the world. The Balakovo Metallurgical Plant is a leading producer of long products. The plant produced the first ton of rolled products in December 2013. In total, the holding's factories employ more than 7,000 people. Novostal-M includes the entire production chain of high-tech products and is actively developing both in the domestic and foreign markets.
