Eurowings low-cost carrier launches Berlin-Yerevan-Berlin direct  flights 

ArmInfo.In 2024, the German airline Eurowings will launch direct flights on the Berlin-Yerevan-Berlin route. This is stated in a message of the German Embassy in Armenia on its Facebook page.

According to the source, the flight will begin operating from the end  of May next year. Member of the House of Representatives of Berlin,  Dr. Martin Petzoldt and a representative of the Association of  European and Armenian Professionals, in cooperation with the RA  Embassy in Berlin, have held numerous discussions with Eurowings over  the past few months, considering the inclusion of the abovementioned  route in the airline's summer flight list.

"We are pleased to report that the outcome of the discussions was  positive. This will give Armenia a new opportunity to become more  visible to Berlin and the Federal Republic of Germany, and direct  flights will certainly strengthen Armenian-German economic and social  ties," the message of the Armenian Embassy in Germany states.

Eurowings GmbH is a German low-cost airline based in Dusseldorf. It  is one of the subsidiaries of the Lufthansa Group aviation holding  company. From May 29 of this year, Eurowings airline began operating  flights in the Dusseldorf-Yerevan-Dusseldorf direction once a week,  on Mondays. In August 2021, the airline launched weekly flights from  the airport. Konrad Adenauer, which serves the cities of Cologne and  Bonn, to Yerevan Zvartnots Airport.
