ArmInfo.Representatives of Armenia and Iran at a meeting on November 21 discussed details of the construction of the fourth section of the North-South transport corridor, reported the press service of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of the Republic of Armenia.
Participating in the meeting was an Iranian delegation led by Dr. Mohammad Hossein Soufi, President of the Touring and Automobile Club of the Islamic Republic of Iran (TACI) and the leadership of the Department of Policy, Licensing and Permits of the Ministry of Administration of the Republic of Armenia, as well as those responsible for the implementation of the project, discussed the project for the construction of a corridor within the framework of the 4th tranche, which provides for the construction of the Sisian- Kajaran road.
Mr Mohammad Hossein Soufi stressed that the purpose of the visit of the Iranian delegation is to discuss issues related to improving transport links between the two countries. The guests presented their approaches and expressed hope that the two countries, by ratifying a number of international documents, will be able to facilitate the processes of entry and exit.
Speaking about the road sector, representatives of the ministry presented the priorities of the RA government, talking in detail about the strategic importance of the investment project of the North-South road corridor.
