ArmInfo. On November 23, the Government of Armenia approved the proposal to sign the EUR 25mln  financial agreement Yerevan Energy Efficiency Phase II between the European Investment Bank and Armenia.

As stated in the explanation to the document, an investment grant in  the amount of 10.1 million euros from the EU Neighborhood Investment  Platform will be attracted to co-finance the project. The project is  a continuation of an ongoing project financed by the EIB.

The goal of the project is to reduce the energy consumption of public  buildings in the Yerevan community and support energy efficiency and  renewable energy measures, which will include the necessary work to  improve the general technical condition of outpatient clinics and  kindergartens.

In particular, as a result of the Project implementation, it will be  possible to reduce the energy consumption of 38 public buildings (6  clinics and 32 kindergartens). Predicted results of the project:  reducing energy costs, increasing seismic safety, improving the  comfort and quality of life of visitors, reducing carbon dioxide  (CO2) emissions, extending the life of renovated buildings.
