Construction organizations from Nagorno-Karabakh may get simplified  registration

ArmInfo. Construction organizations from Nagorno- Karabakh may have the opportunity to be registered in the Republic of Armenia under a simplified procedure, the RA Urban Planning Committee reports. 

The source notes that the problems of representatives of the urban  planning sector of Nagorno-Karabakh became the subject of discussion  at a meeting between the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of  Armenia Tigran Khachatryan and the heads of construction companies  from Artsakh. During the meeting, opportunities were presented for  continuing their activities in Armenia through the adoption of  legislative and regulatory acts. In particular, it is proposed to  amend the legislation to create the opportunity for organizations  from Nagorno-Karabakh to obtain legal and tax registration through a  simplified procedure, and then apply to the Urban Planning Committee  to obtain the appropriate license.

"Understanding the challenges that most organizations face, we are  willing to discuss the possibility of using a dedicated support tool  and listen to your point of view to ensure that your operations  continue to run smoothly. We expect that, taking into account your  professional abilities, you will unite and form the necessary human  potential that will be able to complete construction orders in a  timely and high-quality manner," Mr Khachatryan said. 

"Regarding the ongoing large-scale construction in Armenia, Chairman  of the Urban Planning Committee Armen Gularyan emphasized that an  attempt is being made to create all conditions so that partners from  Nagorno-Karabakh can join urban development projects as soon as  possible. "We attach great importance to the involvement of urban  planning organizations of Nagorno-Karabakh in the design and  construction projects of various important facilities provided for by  the RA government plan. We have high hopes for our future  cooperation," said Gularyan.

Representatives of the Urban Planning Committee familiarized those  present with the current procedure, norms, catalogs of standard  reusable projects posted on the committee's website, as well as with  the latest changes in the organization of procurement related to the  construction of schools. They also answered questions from those  present.

The Vice-Premier proposed organizing a meeting in the near future to  discuss issues that arose during the resumption of the organizations'  activities.

The Chairman of the Committee assured that department employees will  seek solutions to emerging problems. At the same time, discussions  will be organized with the Chamber of Architects and the Union of  Builders of Armenia to determine further rules.
