Electronic income declaration system of RA citizens to start functioning no earlier than March 2024- SRC head

Electronic income declaration system of RA citizens to start functioning no earlier than March 2024- SRC head

ArmInfo. In Armenia, those  persons who are subject to the mandatory declaration of their  incomes, when entering the electronic system, will notice that some  parts of the application will be pre-filled. Chairman of the State  Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia Rustam Badasyan told  reporters on January 4.

According to him, it is pointless to talk about this before March of  this year, since during January-February 2024 the data is subject to  generalization. "After summarizing all the data, applications for  declaration of property will be partially completed, but this will  not happen before March - early April of this year, when the system  will be fully ready," said the chairman of the State Revenue  Committee, recalling that the first declarants should be  representatives of the state, public and community services, as well  as managers and shareholders of large companies with a turnover of 1  billion drams or more.

Badasyan also said that all those citizens who rent out their real  estate with the availability of appropriate agreements annually  submit income declarations. The innovation that the RA government  came up with concerns the introduction of mechanisms for submitting  applications, since we can talk about hourly, daily or monthly rent  payments, which in turn leads to changes in the terms of contracts.  For this reason, the country's Cabinet of Ministers proposed new  deadlines for citizens to submit applications - from December 1 to  February 1. As of December 1, 2023, 3 thousand citizens have already  submitted their applications for renting out property, which means  that in 2024 they will submit their income declarations. The head of  the State Revenue Committee called on citizens to monitor the  department's website for frequently asked questions, to which  appropriate answers are given.

Badasyan also reminded that the representatives of show business  should also submit income declarations, some of them continue to  operate in the shadows, and the department deals with them.

In 2023, the introduction of a system of universal declaration of  income of all resident citizens of the republic began in Armenia. By  May 1, 2024, the first group of declarants will have to file a tax  return. In parallel with the income declaration system for citizens,  the government introduced "incentive measures", which, as previously  stated, would be provided in the form of social loans.
