ArmInfo. In 2 months, the Ministry of Economy of Armenia will present a new export strategy, the main goal of which is the export of high-standard products that are in demand in numerous countries. Armenian Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan stated during a press conference on Monday.
"Our efforts will be directed mainly in this direction. We want to move from efforts focused on only one market to deep diversification," said the head of the department. Speaking about the prospects associated with the ferry service, he noted that recent developments have shown that efforts should be intensified in the direction of other markets.
As the main markets, Kerobyan pointed out the countries of the Middle East, considering the recently concluded new free trade agreement with Iran, as well as the countries of the Persian Gulf. At the same time, he added that efforts will be evenly distributed in the direction of the European and Asian American markets.
In addition, according to the minister, a new program to stimulate exports will soon be presented. The latter is aimed at helping companies trying to enter new markets. Without disclosing details, Kerobyan said that within the framework of the new program, compensation for logistics costs is planned. "We hope this program will be adopted soon," he emphasized.
