ArmInfo. A total of 2.3mln tourists visited Armenia last year, a 39% increase as compared with 2022.
In particular, most of the tourists were from the Russian Federation (50% or 1.2 million), followed by a significant margin by Georgian tourists (11% or 255.3 thousand), 6% (150 thousand) were tourists from Iran, 3% (58.7 thousand) - USA, 1.5% (34.6 thousand) - India, and 1% each was the share of tourists from France, Germany, Ukraine, China and Belarus. In December alone, 133 thousand foreign citizens visited Armenia, which exceeds the year-ago figure by 1.7%, and compared to November 2023, a decline of 11.5% was registered.
