ArmInfo.The elaboration of the strategy of Armenia's demographic development is nearing completion, Armenia's Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan told a press conference.
According to him, Armenia still did not have such a document. The strategy has already undergone an examination by international partners, having received their approval. Representatives of various international structures represented in the country do active work in this direction, providing invaluable assistance to the republic. In February, the document will be submitted for approval by the Government of the RA. The strategy is very voluminous, and provides for the holding of about 170 events, some of which are already being carried out.
The minister also pointed out the growth of the number of families with three or more children. If in 2018 there were 8271 such children, then in 2023 this amount increased to 11956. For each third and subsequent child, financial assistance in the amount of 60 thousand dramas for six years is used. It is planned that families who have become forced immigrants from Nagorno -Karabakh will be connected to this program.
