Armenian PM: Average real salary in Armenia, excluding inflation,  increased by 33%

ArmInfo. Since January 1 of this year, subsidies to local self- government bodies of Armenia have  increased significantly. Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated on January 17 during government hour in the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, answering a question  from MP David Arushanyan.

The Prime Minister noted that currently there are communities in the  country, mainly inhabited by national minorities, in which the volume  of subsidies has increased by 200,300, or even 400In addition to  subsidies, a subsidy program is also implemented, which provides for  the application of additional coefficients to communities inhabited  by national communities. At the same time, Pashinyan pointed out  existing problems related to the efficient use of allocated  resources. "We allocate millions to the needs of communities, in  response to which accusations are made in the parliament about the  government not fighting stray dogs. So what, it turns out that the  government should also deal with the problems of dogs and garbage  collection?", asked the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, adding that  since 2018, the volume of subsidies has increased so much that no one  even imagined. Today the government sets itself two tasks:   strengthening the capabilities of communities and increasing the  volume of the state budget, funds from which are allocated to solve  the task.

The Prime Minister noted that since 2018, real average wages in  Armenia, excluding inflation, have increased by 33%. Also today the  minimum wage exceeds the minimum consumer basket.
