Armenian-Czech business forum held in Yerevan

ArmInfo. An Armenian-Czech business forum was held in Yerevan.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, after the  opening of the forum, meetings were held between entrepreneurs of the  two countries, during which the parties discussed the possibilities  of cooperation, in particular in the IT field.

During the opening of the forum, Deputy Minister of Economy of  Armenia Rafayel Gevorgyan noted the growing dynamics of mutual trade  between Armenia and the Czech Republic, saying that Armenia is  interested in deepening economic cooperation with the Czech Republic.

The event was attended by Speaker of the Parliament of Armenia Alen  Simonyan and Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech  Parliament Marketa Pekarova Adamovaa.

According to the Statistics Committee, foreign trade turnover between  Armenia and the Czech Republic in January-November 2023 increased by  15.6%, amounting to $38.8 million. At the same time, exports  increased by 49.3% to $2.6 million, with imports growing by 13.8% to  $36.2 million.
