Yerevan Brandy Factory becomes first authorized economic operator of  EAEU in Armenia

ArmInfo. Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia Rustam Badasyan presented Yerevan  Brandy Factory CJSC with a Type 1 certificate for inclusion in the register of authorized economic operators of the Eurasian Economic Union.

According to the press service of the State Revenue Committee, during  the event, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the  Chairman of the SRC Rustam Badasyan and the authorized economic  operator represented by the Executive Director of Yerevan Brandy  Factory Sergey Khachatryan, according to which the parties will be  responsible for the application of simplified bilateral customs  procedures, highlighting current problems and their resolution.

The Chairman of SRC, congratulating the director and representatives  of the company, noted that as a result of using simplified customs  procedures, companies with the status of authorized economic operator  will carry out import-export in a simplified way, spending less time  and financial resources. The SRC chairman expressed hope that other  taxpayers will also follow this path, realizing and valuing being a  law-abiding taxpayer.

The Executive Director of Yerevan Brandy Factory thanked the SRC  Chairman, State Revenue Committee - Republic of Armenia - business  community for continuous reforms in processes.

In order to obtain the status of an authorized operator, participants  in foreign economic activity must meet the requirements of a  law-abiding taxpayer, as well as a number of other norms and  requirements established by law.

According to the EAEU Labor Code, from the date of entry into force  of the certificate of inclusion in the register of authorized  economic operators, an authorized trader moves into the low-risk  category. In accordance with international agreements of the Union  with third parties, certain special simplifications provided for in  Article 437 of the Code may be provided on a reciprocal basis to  authorized economic operators of states that are not members of the  Union. However, such special simplifications can only be applied  on the territory of a member state that is a party to such  international treaties.
