ArmInfo.Today, the EAEU countries do not have a unified and clear approach to building a common energy market, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on February 2 at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Almaty.
"Parallel to the discussion of issues of cooperation in the field of high technologies, our attention is focused on the areas of interaction in which it is necessary to form common markets. Despite the fact that in 2025 it is planned to launch the functioning of common markets for gas, oil and petroleum products, today it is obvious that there is no clear unified approach of the member states from the perspective of the prospects for building and developing a common energy market," Pashinyan noted.
The Prime Minister is confident that the formation of a common market will give all EAEU member countries a number of key advantages: contributing to the sustainable development of economies, improving the well-being of the population, and strengthening energy security. "Considering this, we believe that our dialogue should be aimed at finding compromise agreements," said Nikol Pashinyan.
