ArmInfo. Due to its geographical location, Armenia should develop markets where goods do not have physical weight, in particular the IT and financial sectors. CEO of Freedom Broker Armenia (a subsidiary of the American Freedom Holding Corporation) Hovak Hovakimyan stated the in a conversation with journalists on the sidelines of the first Investment and Financial Forum.
According to him, small countries have already passed the path that Armenia must go through. Having great development potential, Armenia, as Hovakimyan noted, should not limit itself to the domestic market. "By properly developing financial products and selling them, we can become a hub of interest to foreign investors," he emphasized.
Answering a question from an ArmInfo correspondent, he noted that the biggest problem still remains the insufficient level of financial literacy of the population. In this regard, Hovakimyan spoke about plans to establish an Academy, the activities of which will be aimed specifically at increasing financial literacy. At the same time, the head of the company emphasized the involvement of not only financial, but also government sector representatives in these works.
The Financial and Investment Forum is being organized by Freedom Broker Armenia in collaboration with the Ministry of
Economy of Armenia. The Forum intends to become a leading platform for interaction between key market participants, including government authorities, business representatives, the media and the public.
