CECC business mission to visit Armenia  

ArmInfo.The business mission of the Canadian-Eurasian Chamber of Commerce (CECC) will visit  Armenia for the first time. According to the Embassy of Armenia in Canada, the visit will take place from April 8 to 12, during which the delegation will have a number of meetings with representatives of the Armenian business community, Armenian government and non- governmental organizations.

The purpose of the visit is to establish direct contacts with  Armenian entrepreneurs and study locally the possibilities and  directions for deepening Armenian-Canadian cooperation.

The Canadian delegation will include entrepreneurs active in the  fields of education, energy, mining, technology sector, etc.

Note that the Canada-Eurasian Chamber of Commerce (CECC) is an  independent, non-profit organization that promotes bilateral trade  and investment between Canada and Eurasia. The Chamber was founded in  2004 with the goal of improving and supporting trade, investment and  good relations between Eurasian countries and Canada. This is a  unique organization that connects more than 140 corporations. To meet  the dynamic growth in the number of members of the organization, 9  local branches were founded, located in Canada and Eurasia.

According to the RA Statistics Committee, foreign trade turnover  between Armenia and Canada in 2023 increased by 81.6%, amounting to  about $82.9 million. At the same time, exports decreased by 15.3% to  $2.4 million, against the backdrop of an 88.1% increase in imports.  up to $80.5 million.
