Leasing EXPO -2024 officially opened in Yerevan

ArmInfo.  Leasing EXPO -2024, the specialized exhibition opened its doors in Yerevan, which brought together 70 brands producing equipment and machinery for more than 12 industries under one roof. The exhibition is organized by the  Lessors' Association of Armenia and the Big Projects company.

During his welcoming speech, Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg  Papoyan noted that today it is difficult to imagine the development  of the economy without modern technologies and equipment. "It is  impossible to develop the economy of a country like ours, which has  limited resources if we do not focus on intensity," he emphasized.

Noting that the state has several assistance mechanisms, the minister  said that the portfolio of the state program for modernizing the  economy has already exceeded 200 billion drams, and the portfolio of  the program to assist the agro-industrial complex - 50 billion drams.   "If we talk about economic diversification, it is impossible to  imagine it without high-quality goods and services. And to receive  high-quality products and services, modern technologies and equipment  are needed," he emphasized.

According to the Lessors' Association of Armenia, the country's  leasing portfolio amounted to 92 billion drams at the end of 2023,  and already this year it reached 170 billion drams.
