South Africa expresses interest in developing cooperation with  Armenia in jewelry and cutting industry 

ArmInfo. Minister of Economy of Armenia Gevorg Papoyan met with Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to Armenia Shoayb Casoo.

According to the press service of the department, the parties  discussed the possibilities of developing cooperation between the  countries in the field of jewelry and cutting industry, winemaking,  and also considered a number of other issues related to trade and  economic cooperation.

During the meeting, Gevorg Papoyan invited South African companies to  take part in various economic programs implemented in Armenia with  government support. An exchange of views on organizing mutual  business missions also took place.

According to the Customs Service of Armenia, the customs value of  imported goods from Armenia to South Africa totaled $2.1 million,  with a y-o-y decrease of 52.8%. The customs value of exported goods  from Armenia has decreased significantly to $6.4 thousand.
