As part of their working visit to Washington to participate in the Spring Meetings of the Boards of Governors of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG), a delegation of Armenia's Ministry of Finance led by Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan held a number of meetings with international partners.
The Armenian delegation held meetings with Ms Odile Renaud-Basso, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Ms Antonella Bassani, Vice President of the Europe and Central Asia Region at the World Bank, Mr Jihad Azour, Director of the Middle East and Central Asia Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
In addition, the Armenian delegation took part in the Ministerial Meeting on the Human Capital Development Project, which this year was dedicated to artificial intelligence in the field, digital solutions and technologies.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Finance, bilateral meetings were also held with delegations from the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Germany, and Slovenia, during which the parties discussed issues aimed at intensifying and expanding current cooperation, as well as related to the annual meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, which will be held in this year from May 14 to 16 in Yerevan.
Separate discussions also took place with representatives of J.P. Morgan, Citi, Morgan Stanley. According to the source, the parties discussed issues of further cooperation and the current state of the Armenian economy.
