ArmInfo.Deputy Minister of High-Technological Industry of Armenia Gevorg Mantashyan took part in the 80th session of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), which takes place from April 22 to 26 in Bangkok.
The session, themed " Leveraging Digital Innovation for Sustainable Development in Asia and the Pacific ", brings together the region's heads of government and other stakeholders to discuss the comprehensive impact of digital innovation on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
According to the press service of the Ministry of High-Technological Industry, during his speech Mantashyan spoke about the use of digital innovations in public life. He noted the need to exchange experience and initiatives in this industry and emphasized the importance of regional cooperation.
As part of the event, the Deputy Minister also took part in a debate on the topic "Leveraging Digital Innovation for Sustainable Development in Asia and the Pacific ." UNESCAP is the largest of the UN regional commissions in terms of geographical coverage and population. The Commission's main areas of focus include environmental protection, natural resource management, investment cooperation, trade, energy and transport.
