ArmInfo. Yerevan is ready to discuss the purchase of Azerbaijani gas with Baku. Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan stated on April 25 in a conversation with journalists.
According to him, this issue needs to be discussed, but there are no negotiations with Azerbaijan at this stage. He expressed confidence that a part of gas purchased by Armenia from Russia is Azerbaijani.
Notably, Russia is currently the main supplier of gas to Armenia, selling it at one of the lowest prices in the world - $165 per 1 thousand cubic meters. Part of the supply comes from Iran, which is mainly supplied to thermal units, from where electricity is exported to Iran.
