ArmInfo.A delegation of Rosatom State Corporation headed by Rosatom First Deputy CEO for Corporate Development and International Business, Kirill Komarov arrived in Armenia. On June 13, Komarov was received by Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan. According to the press service of the RA government, during the meeting the interlocutors discussed the progress of projects implemented in Armenia in cooperation with Rosatom.
ArmInfo previously reported that the RA government would allocate $65 million from the state budget for the repeated extension of the service life of the second power unit of the Armenian NPP. The service life of the existing power unit is planned to be extended until 2036. The work on the implementation of the program will be carried out by the "Rusatom Service" company, which is part of the Rosatom State Atomi? Energy Corporation, with which a corresponding agreement has been concluded. The customer of the project will be the Armenian NPP, which will receive state funds in the form of a budget loan. It is planned to carry out work at the Armenian NPP on the repeated extension of the service life of the second power unit for another 10 years - until 2036. By this date, a new power unit should be built. The project itself launched in 2024.
