ArmInfo.600 million drams will be allocated to continue the state assistance program for providing housing to families with children. The decision on this was made at a meeting of the RA government on June 20.
Presenting the draft decision, RA Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan noted that the terms of the previously existing program, designed for 2020-2023, expired last year. An analysis of its effectiveness prompted the department to think about the need to continue the program until 2026. During the implementation of the previous program, the number of beneficiaries declared was very high, which forced the RA government to allocate additional funds on a monthly basis. In 2024, 827 beneficiaries received assistance for the purchase of housing. As of December 31, 2023, about 552 million drams were paid to them within the framework of their obligations. Since the start of the project and until now, about 10 thousand people have become participants in the program, and 7 billion drams have been paid to them.
For 2024, a new procedure for accepting applications has been adopted. According to the regulations, 351 applications have currently been approved, of which 290 beneficiaries will need to pay 260 million drams. Another 300 applications are under consideration.
