ArmInfo. On July 24, the Minister  of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of Armenia Gnel  Sanosyan visited the border village of Kirants in Tavush region and  got acquainted with construction  progress of bypass roads.

According to the press service of the Ministry, Gnel Sanosyan was  accompanied by Serzhik Petrosyan, acting Executive Director of the  Road Department Fund and Hayk Galumyan, Tavush Governor.  The  Minister got acquainted with the progress of construction of the new  Kirants road, as well as the repair of the existing Kirants-Acharkut  road.

"Currently, asphalt paving and landscaping of the roadside areas are  underway, and they are entering the final stage," the message says.

Earlier, Arminfo reported that within the framework of road  delimitation, part of the territory of Kirants:  two houses, a  bridge, a section of the interstate road to Georgia and, preliminary,  more than 50 land plots - should go to Azerbaijan.

In this regard, the Kirants-Achakurt road should become an  alternative to the section of the road that will come under the  control of Baku. "We are talking about two roads. One of them is  being built anew. The preliminary length of this road will be 750 m.  Construction has begun, we asked the construction company and other  partners to attract sufficient forces to complete the work in two  months," said the head of MTUI Gnel Sanosyan on May 22 in NS. The  second road, according to him, leads to Kirants through the village  of Acharkut. Its length is about 3.5 km, part of it is an old asphalt  road from the 70-80s, and the other part is a narrow dirt road. This  road, he said, is also planned to be repaired within two months. 9  million 613 thousand drams will be allocated for the creation of a  new route.
