ArmInfo. The Commission for the Protection of Competition (CPC) has stood up for farmers. From now on, if enterprises purchasing agricultural products fail to fulfill their financial obligations to farmers within 30 days, proceedings will be initiated against the latter. CPC press secretary Ani Smbatyan reported this on her Facebook account.
In particular, according to her, this decision was made in February of this year and entered into force in early May. It is noteworthy that since the adoption of the law, the debt to farms has already been repaid in the amount of 850 million drams, and proceedings have been initiated against 8 economic entities for failure to fulfill their obligations.
"We call on farms that supplied agricultural products to companies and did not receive the payments due for this within 30 calendar days to contact the Commission for the Protection of Competition>, Smbatyan noted. Violations can also be reported online through the website www.competition.am , by writing to the e-mail address [email protected] or by sending a letter by mail.
