ArmInfo. The 8th UN World Conference on Wine Tourism will be held in Yerevan from September 11 to 13.
This annual conference is an exceptional opportunity for experts in the field of enotourism (wine tourism) to work together and find solutions aimed at strengthening the driving role of tourism to ensure a sustainable, sustainable and inclusive future.
According to the Committee on Tourism, in January-June 2024, 964 thousand tourists visited Armenia, which is 4% lower than the year-ago figure. Traditionally, the lion's share of tourists who prefer to holiday in Armenia are citizens of the Russian Federation (41%), followed by tourists from Georgia (13%), Iran (7%), India (3%), the USA (2%), and also from Ukraine, Philippines, Germany, France, China (1% each).
According to statistical data, wine production in Armenia in January-May 2024 decreased by 32.6% per annum, amounting to 3.8 million liters.
