As General Director of South Caucasus Railway Alexey Melnikov noted in his congratulatory speech, the railway workers accepted the challenge of the elements with dignity and honor.
Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Armen Simonyan emphasized the strategic importance of the railway for the republic, noting that it was in May that this importance manifested itself most vividly, when the country lost its external railway connection. According to him, thanks to their professionalism and dedication, the railway workers were able to quickly establish a temporary scheme for importing strategic cargo into the country and quickly restore train traffic. In connection with their professional holiday, the railway workers traditionally give the public the opportunity to travel free of charge on the company's suburban trains on Sunday, August 4 (except for the Yerevan-Gyumri-Yerevan express train) and wish them pleasant travels. We are talking about 12 trains in the directions from Yerevan to Gyumri, Yeraskh, Araks, Sevan-Shorzha and in the opposite direction.
