ArmInfo. Ashot Smbatyan, Armenian Ambassador to Georgia met with Levan Mekhuzla, Director of the Georgian National Wine Agency.
As reported by the press service of the Armenian Embassy in Georgia, the parties discussed cooperation between the Vine and Wine Foundation of Armenia and the Georgian Wine Agency.
It should be noted that according to data from the Customs Service of Armenia for 2023, the Armenian side exported 18.7 thousand liters of wine to Georgia. This represents a 74.7% increase compared to the same period in 2022, while the customs value decreased by 19.7% to $ 49.7 thousand.
In the same period, 22 thousand liters of wine were imported from Georgia to Armenia, showing an annual growth of 1.8%. The customs value of imported wines increased by 69.8% to $ 86.6% thousand.
