ArmInfo. The Armenian government suggests that farmers abandon the current system of farming in their backyard plots, Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated in his video speech on Facebook.
Pointing to a specific backyard plot in Ijevan, the Prime Minister noted that there is no point in talking about an economic effect in this plot, since there is practically no surplus production. "To achieve the desired result, it is necessary to effectively manage the land and land plots," Pashinyan said.
He suggested that owners of backyard plots completely clear their lands of current plantings and give preference to intensive gardens, which should consist of certified plant sprouts using drip irrigation systems. Moreover, as the head of government emphasized, we should not talk about individual households, but about entire clusters. "In this case, the harvesters will know about the appearance of other farms, which, in turn, will lead to increased interest on the part of buyers, as well as an increase in the commercial value of the harvested crop," said the head of the Armenian Cabinet.
