Contract signed with the winner of the acceleration program

ArmInfo. On August 15, a  contract signing ceremony was held at the Ministry of High-Tech  Industry of the Republic of Armenia with the organization that won  the grant for the "Acceleration Program".

As reported by the press service of the Ministry, 4 international  organizations applied to participate in the competition.The  accelerator "Plug and Play Germany GmbH" was declared the winner by  the tender committee. The budget for the competition is 336 million  drams. The 26-week program is designed for start-up companies  operating in Armenia. During the program, the companies will receive  consulting services, capacity building, business development support  and networking services. The program also includes innovative support  and individual mentoring. The contract was signed by the Secretary  General of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of  Armenia David Gasparyan and the Executive Director of Plug & Play  Germany GmbH Sasha Karimpour.

During the contract signing, Deputy Minister Ruben Simonyan and Sasha  Karimpour spoke about the significance of their cooperation and the  potential for future interaction. Ruben Simonyan conveyed his believe  that the cooperation will be fruitful and introduce a fresh approach  to programs focused at developing startup ecosystems in Armenia. The  Deputy Minister also outlined the state's policy aimed at industry  development, highlighting key areas such as high technologies, state  supported programs for the development of the industry, international  and supranational companies operating in Armenia, and other relevant  topics.

Sasha Karimpour, in turn, presented the activities and experience of  Plug and Play Germany GmbH in similar programs. He emphasized that an  important condition for the formation of an ecosystem in line with  international standards is education based on innovative  technologies, which is the basis of their activities.

The parties expressed hope that the cooperation will not be limited  to a 26-week program, but will become permanent.
