ArmInfo. Yerevan Municipality has officially applied to the Asian Development Bank for technical assistance in the amount of $1.2 million. This funding will allow the preparation of a public transport reform program.
As officials noted on August 19 during a meeting of the capital's administration, the work is being carried out within the framework of the second stage of public transport, during which the capital should have a "greener" and more environmentally friendly transport system. Other donors may also be involved in the full preparation of the program.
It was previously reported that Yerevan Municipality plans to purchase 200 buses (8.5 meters long) and 250 electric buses (18 meters) this year.
